Let this site be your source for information on antique and vintage Guerlain perfumes. Another goal of this website is to show the present owners of the Guerlain company how much we miss many of the discontinued classics and hopefully, if they see that there is enough interest and demand, they will bring back these fragrances! I invite you to leave a comment below (for example: of why you liked the fragrance, describe the scent, time period or age you wore it, who gave it to you or on what occasion, what it smelled like to you, how it made you feel, any specific memories, what it reminded you of, maybe a relative wore it, or you remembered seeing the bottle on their vanity table), who knows, perhaps someone from the current Guerlain brand might see it. If you have any questions, please send all images of your bottle and pertinent information directly to me at cleopatrasboudoir@gmail.com. I will try to assist you the best I can.

L'Abeille de Guerlain c2010

L'Abeille de Guerlain: launched in 2010 as a limited edition fragrance housed in an exceptional limited edition collector's flacon. Fragrance created by Thierry Wasser.

  • 1853 Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain presents his Cologne to the French Empress Eugenie Montijo, the wife of Napoleon III.in a bottle shaped like a beehive and covered with 69 gilded bees - the coat of arms of the Second French Empire was the Napoleonic emblem of efficiency and productivity. The  showed the bees motives.
  • 2010 : The bee is more central than ever in Guerlain's presentation designs, Honoured as the symbol links That new creations to the House's proud history.

Fragrance Composition:

So what does it smell like? It is classified as a floral fragrance for women.
  • Top notes: mimosa, grape
  • Middle notes: orange blossom, jasmine, lilac
  • Base notes: orris root, and honey
In order to convey the message of the bee and fragrance, Thierry Wasser conjured up an image of a beautiful garden from the bumblebee's point of view. In this garden, powdery mimosa, lush orange blossom, narcotic jasmine, fresh lilacs gently swayed on their branches high up in the trees, and wafted their heady scent over plump grapes, whose leafy, green vines meandered along a wooden fence, mingling with the dusty iris scent of orris roots that lay inside of a basket, drying in the sun, after being pulled from the ground. The jaunty little bee bounced from one flower to the other, gathering the delicate pollen on his legs. Returning back to the hive, he smells the familiar scent of fresh honey and knows that he is home again.

Bottle:

The beautiful fragrance is housed inside of a monumental clear crystal flacon shaped like a bee, complete with diamond faceted wings.
