Quand Vient La Pluie c2007

Quand Vient La Pluie: ("When the Rain Begins"): launched in 2007, a limited edition fragrance for women. It was created in cooperation with two noses, Thierry Wasser and Sylvaine Delacourte.

The perfume was created as an homage to the successful Apres L'Ondee (“After the Rainstorm”) perfume, but as co-creator Sylvaine Delacourte explains, "to treat Après l'Ondée in a more contemporary way, with an intenser and more addictive base."

Fragrance Composition:

So what does it smell like? It is classified as a floral amber musk fragrance for women. Like the electrically charged atmosphere of a thunderstorm, dark, pregnant clouds releasing little droplets onto a bracing herb garden dotted with fresh violets and sweet heliotrope, but with ambery notes on an earthy, yet gourmand base.
  • Top notes: bergamot, rosemary, neroli
  • Heart notes: orange blossom, heliotrope, violet, jasmine
  • Base notes: cinnamon, orris, amber, gourmand praline notes, patchouli, musk, vanilla

Bottles:

The bottle holding eau de parfum, by Serge Mansau, is shaped like a raindrop and rests on a “base etched with the veins of a leaf” and holds 7.5 ml. A 50 ml edp refill "estagnon" aluminum canister bottle equipped with a dropper is included in the €280 price.
