Parfum du 68 by Guerlain c2013

Guerlain's flagship store at 68, Champs Elysees re-opened for business on Nov. 19, 2013, its internal space had been extensively refurbished, and provides 1,600 square meters of space, so that customers can have a better shopping experience.

To celebrate the re-opening of headquarters, Guerlain launched an extravagant new bottle of perfume called Le Parfum du 68.

Its composition is based on the Cologne du 68 perfume recipe with careful revisions. To house this exquisite formula, Baccarat carefully crafted a masterpiece flacon - based on the mythical turtle bottle. The original turtle bottle was first used in 1914 when Guerlain made no. 68 Champs Elysees the address for its new headquarters and the Le Parfum Champs Elysees perfume was released to mark the occasion.

So what does it smell like? It is classified as a woody spicy floral fragrance for women.

• Top notes: everlasting flower, rose
• Middle notes: incense, heliotrope, benzoin, spices
• Base notes: Guerlinade accord, woods, leather, tonka bean

For the 2013 Christmas limited edition, it is carefully crafted from black crystal in a one liter capacity. This new edition bottle is created from the renovated century-old mold but with slightly refined features. Decorated with a gilded elegance of Paris representatives from Ateliers Gohard creation of the bottle, with a limited production of 30 only bottles. This limited release is apparently only available at the flagship location.

This technical feat is made possible by the restoration of an old mold 100 years. This treasure of Guerlain Heritage is the witness of the traditional know-how of Guerlain and expertise of Baccarat. Turtle comes to life at the center of its majestic setting, under a glass bell, a magical setting of Paris, gilded with fine gold. A meticulous work of a Master of Art Workshops Gohard. 

The fragrance is a unique work, an extract of perfume composed by Thierry Wasser, in homage to the mythical address of 68, Champs Elysées. A woody and spicy fragrance, which plays the contrast between the cold and hot spices spices. The immortelle majesty layout, gives its character to floral heart, while tonka, benzoin and incense, colored notes leather wrap the fragrance in a wildly Guerlain wake.

The eau de parfum flacon will be available to a wider audience than the deluxe parfum edition. It will be housed in the classic square bottle, which is etched with a rendering of the facade of the Guerlain flagship boutique. According to Guerlain, the fragrance will be sold only at Maison Guerlain
