La Petite Robe Noire Makeup Line

The continuing success of La Petite Robe Noire has spawned flanker scents, collectible bottles, hair mist, shimmer powder and now...a makeup line! The little black dress inspired line the brand's Director of Makeup Design, Olivier Echaudemaison to create a wide selection of lip and nail colors which will be launched in February.

A line of twenty lipsticks and eight nail polishes will accompany a signature La Petite Robe Noire palette. The packaging designs of the lipstick and nail polish both feature the signature upside down heart motif taken from the familiar stopper of La Petite Robe Noire bottle (originally used for the perfumes L'Heure Bleue, Mitsouko and Fol Arome).

The lipsticks will have fruity, floral scents inspired by the fragrance and will give a glossy, lacquer like effect finish on the lips. Playful hues including fuchsia, orange-red and a soft shimmery pink will no doubt will give their wearers a touch of whimsy evocative of La Petite Robe Noire.

The nail enamels are scented with red fruits and floral notes, again, inspired by the La Petite Robe noire fragrance. Each polish will give the nails a high gloss finish as well as retaining the scent of the fruity floral lacquer for twenty four hours, which can easily be reactivated with a quick swipe of a top coat.

The "La Petite Robe Noire" makeup collection is due to first launch in Europe in February, sold through authorized retailers or at www.guerlain.com. Nail polishes are priced at €23 and lipsticks at €29.50.
