Hello and welcome! Please understand that this website is not affiliated with Guerlain in any way, it is only a reference site for collectors and those who have enjoyed the classic fragrances of days gone by. All trademarks belong to their respective owners. The main objective of this website is to chronicle the 200+ year old history of the Guerlain fragrances and showcase the bottles and advertising used throughout the years. Let this site be your source for information on antique and vintage Guerlain perfumes. Another goal of this website is to show the present owners of the Guerlain company how much we miss many of the discontinued classics and hopefully, if they see that there is enough interest and demand, they will bring back these fragrances! I invite you to leave a comment below (for example: of why you liked the fragrance, describe the scent, time period or age you wore it, who gave it to you or on what occasion, what it smelled like to you, how it made you feel, any specific memories, what it reminded you of, maybe a relative wore it, or you remembered seeing the bottle on their vanity table), who knows, perhaps someone from the current Guerlain brand might see it. If you have any questions, please send all images of your bottle and pertinent information directly to me at cleopatrasboudoir@gmail.com. I will try to assist you the best I can.

Le 68 Cologne Fond de Cuve c2013

Le 68 Cologne Fond de Cuve by Guerlain: launched in 2013.

According to Monsieur Guerlain the ""Fond de Cuve" means the remaining liquid in a tank, and this name refers to the historical fact that the alcohol used for rinsing factory vats between two macerations, thereby taking up the fragrance of the remains, was given to the factory workers for their personal use. The scent of this "cologne" was quite random, depending on which Guerlain perfume had been produced. The new Cologne de Cuve doesn't change, however, it's a fresh cologne made of bergamot, petitgrain and lavender, meant to be applied to the skin or used in the bath. The scent is actually a public launch of VĂ©ritable Eau de Cologne Pour le Bain, hitherto available only to Guerlain employees. The splash bottle contains 490 ml. "

From Guerlain:
A perfuming ritual, generous and elegant.
A formula where we find the freshness of bergamot and petit grain mixed with aromatic notes of lavender.
Ultimate refinement, reflecting the Lifestyle Guerlain.
 Citrus Aromatic
Natural, Smiling, Stimulating

Apply liberally all over the body, friction on wet or dry skin, for a unique feeling of freshness and energizing effect.
Dilute a few drops in your bath, to perfume the bath water, relax muscles, and revitalize the body ."

To recreate the atmosphere of a Guerlain Boutique at home, you can buy their Fond de Cuve candle, it is the  expression of olfactory heritage of the house with notes of rose, jasmine, iris , balms, vetiver and patchouli.

From Guerlain:
"Originally it was created, the evocation of different unforgettable scent that could feel intermingled in the Guerlain Boutique. Balsamic notes, both sweet and woody, just energize the rose and jasmine notes. The woody patchouli and warm scrolls are revealed in the background to highlight all the voluptuousness of this candle.
A new expression of olfactory heritage Guerlain, to recreate at home a chic and typical Parisian atmosphere.
 Woody Oriental
Timeless, Bewitching, Precious
Spicy, Iris, Amber Notes
On first use, wait until the wax is consumed uniformly to the edges, before extinguishing the candle.  The wick must always remain centered. If necessary, trim it to about 0.5 cm, straighten it and center it.  Ideal to scent your home or office."
