Shalimar Souffle de Parfum c2014

Shalimar Souffle de Parfum by Guerlain: launched in October 2014. Created by Thierry Wasser as limited edition a flanker scent to Shalimar.

For his divine wife, Mumtaz Mahal princess, Emperor Shah Jahan, is drawing the lush gardens of Shalimar, showcase their passion and the Taj Mahal, marvel admired by the world. This fabulous story inspired Jacques Guerlain deliciously carnal wake, the first oriental fragrance in the world: Shalimar. Today, Thierry Wasser reinterprets this legendary fragrance through a blast of extreme sensuality. Shalimar Souffle de Parfum is delicately scented caress. A bright and captivating creation, to wear as a precious ornament.
Floriental tender.
Fresh, bright, cocooning.  
Shalimar Souffle de Parfum wings on bright and sparkling citrus notes of bergamot, lemon and mandarin.  
The heart, bright, gives way to India Sambac jasmine load associated with a note unprecedented absolute water of orange flowers.  
In the background, vanilla India and Tahiti exalts a delicate sensuality, while the overdose of white musk reveals its addictive and enveloping facet.
To sublimate orange blossom honey and give it a fact, Thierry Wasser has used the absolute of orange blossom water, from a very specific treatment. A first step, distillation, provides orange flower water, then, extraction, used to take the absolute valuable. This powerful floral notes reinforces the wake of the fragrance.


Fragrance Composition:


So what does it smell like? It is classified as a sparkling, light, airy and delicate floriental perfume.
  • Top notes: lemon, bergamot and mandarin
  • Heart notes: Indian Sambac jasmine and orange blossom water absolute
  • Base notes: Tahitian and Indian Vanilla and white musk

Bottle:


The perfume bottle's shape is the newer pedestal bottle from Jade Jagger, who designed it in 2010 for all of Shalimar's Eau de Parfums and Eau de Toilettes. The usual bottles are clear glass with the blue cap, this flanker edition is tinted blue, a refreshing change for the scent.
