Created by Thierry Wasser as a limited edition to be sold only through subscription from February 17, 2016 until May 17, 2016. Funds collected from the sale of this perfume will help with the restoration of the royal apartments in the Palace of Versailles in France.
The name of the perfume partially derives from the perfume Bouquet de la Reine Victoria, which was created for the young Queen Victoria in honor of her ascension to the throne in 1837.
In this interpretation of a Queen's fragrance, Wasser was inspired by the infamous gardens of Versailles and the Petit Trianon, where lie Marie Antoinette's favorite flowers: jasmine from Calabria.
Fragrance Composition:
So what does it smell like? It is the previously released fragrance Aqua Allegoria Jasminora.
- Top notes: bergamot, jasmine, galbanum
- Middle notes: freesia, cyclamen, lily of the valley
- Base notes: amber and white musk
As you may recall, this fragrance is also used in the limited edition Cour des Senteurs Versailles released a few years ago.
Bottle:
This limited edition is being presented in the familiar quadrilobe flacon, however, the front of the bottle displays an exceptional jeweled adornment rather than a label. Made by renowned parurier de haute couture Maison Desrues, the center features the Sun King logo elegantly worked with 23 karat gold and paste jewels of clear and amethyst by goldsmiths. The bottle is further adorned with plum colored purple silk baudruchage to match the jewels. The master craftsmanship given to this embellishment of this bottle elevates it to a highly coveted flacon worthy of a collector.
The bottle holds 125ml parfum and retails for a 550 € each.
